Hello my beautiful friends,
This past week, I found myself captivated by beautiful depictions of God as a potter, delicately shaping each child, forming them with His hands like a potter with clay. These images are on a Facebook site called Respond for Life (link below and one sample is above) and for me these were such profound reminders of how intimately God creates each one of us—each life uniquely molded, each soul wonderfully made, each person crafted to perfection according to His design.
It’s humbling to think about the wonder and joy that must fill God's heart as He creates each child. Just as a potter lovingly shapes the clay, carefully refining every detail, so does our Heavenly Father shape us. He envisioned each of our lives, long before we ever existed, and He designed us with purpose, intention, and love. What an incredible thought: that God knew us intimately even before we were in our mother’s womb. If we truly take time to reflect on this, it fills us with awe and gratitude, reminding us of our worth and the depth of God’s love for us.
Consider the words from Isaiah 64:8: “Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” How beautiful to know that we are crafted by the Master, whose hands guide us and shape our lives with such care.
And let’s remember Psalm 139:13-14, where the Psalmist declares: “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.” God knit us together, weaving each strand of our being with His own hands, ensuring that we are fearfully and wonderfully made.
And Jeremiah 1:5 reminds us: “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart.” Each of us was known, chosen, and cherished long before we took our first breath.
These verses are not just words on a page—they are declarations of God’s intimate knowledge and love for each of us. He sees beyond what we think are our flaws and imperfections; He sees the beauty and purpose He has placed within us.
May this truth bring you joy today and always, knowing that you are a masterpiece created by the hands of the Potter, cherished and loved beyond measure.
Let’s rest in this knowledge and allow it to fill our hearts with gratitude and awe, remembering that our Creator has crafted us with intention and love. And may we strive to reflect His love to others, recognizing the beauty of each life He has created.

Together in Christ,
